Finally watched the end of season 1 and I'm currently halfway through the second

It's honestly way better than I initally thought. Varrick is amazing.

What are your thoughts on this show?

its good, just like the original avatar was

though i was a little disappointed with the end of season 1. didnt feel like any of the conflict meant anything. i guess it is a kids' show at the heart..

I love it, Amon is right up there in third place for favourite characters in Avatar <.<
(Toph, Iroh, Amon)

The relationship crap gets pretty old >.>

And whilst it doesn't quite have the same charm as the original, they are more than making up for that with a more interesting/darker storyline. And developing bending to extreme potentials too <_<

Meh, it has it's moments. The majority of season 2 is trash and Kuvira is wasted story potential.

That's what I hate about LoK. None of the conflict means anything. There's always a villian that rises, an end battle, and a major change in the world, and that's it. Everything is all fine and dandy. The lives of the main characters are otherwise unaffected. No one dies, or has any real lasting wounds. I really wish Tenzin died in the last season. They made it out to be as if he was going to die. I also wish that Kai kid died too just like they teased, but they didn't and everything ended up better than it was before.
