This can range from anything to local news papers from the 60s and older in your area to old documents and photographs.

Here is what my middle school looked like in 1927 before any of us were even alive. It does not look like this anymore obviously, and I'm sure all those kids are long dead by now. The school is going to turn 90 in 2 years. It was built in 1926.

Glendale itself was established in 1906, so it will eventually be 110 soon.

Anyway, post some city/town history wherever you're from.

This is Denny Street, Tralee, Kerry in 1900:

This is it last year (Notice the bank is in the same place) The street was massively elongated since and has a museum a few 100 metres behind the statue in the way.

Oh wow. That's incredible. There's only minor changes here, most of the history is preserved. I wish I could speak the same for Glendale. Yes we have historical landmarks but they have been altered or remodeled in someway.

My middle school looks like shit right now compared back to it's prime, it got remolded in the 50s and then remodeled again in the 90s and early 2000s. I would have actually loved to witness that bell tower in action in the photo I posted. Fuckers HAD to get rid of that. -_-

Anyway, incredible photo. Looks like heaven in the old photograph for me. You know... the small town heaven look.

Actually, it wasn't so heavenly. Kids in the picture are bare footed, and there was a spate of murders and violence around then relating to property ownership and religion.

nothing of note. my town sprung up slowly since an air force base was built in the plains in the middle of georgia in the late 40s.

now, about 30 minutes north of me is macon, which is much more historical... here's the cox capitol theatre in 1916.

My city was the home of the Pottery Industry in England.
