What were your favorite places to hide or build "secret bases" as a kid?

There was a football toy chest I hid in once to avoid my father. Didn't work

My friend also had a bed with a tunnel and we'd sometimes set up a tv in it and watch Spongebob or play battlefront 2. Damn those were good times.

At the end of each school year I used to make forts under the dining room table, filled with books and drawings and small-scale furniture.
The last fort I made was in Freshman year of high school where I nailed blankets into our walls and made a massive tent for finals studying and friend sleepovers. It was a great way to start an awesome summer.

i would hide in there and watch DBZ and play pokemon emerald. i actually fell asleep while fighting Suicune in the fort (i woke up and the battery was still good, i caught it)

I would definitely like paintballing on an abandoned dairy farm, and shoot anyone doing the coitus. It would be good target practice. You could even Solid Snake it up if they come after you. That just sounds like good fun.

It just occurred to me that a nursing home would be a good place to hide bodies, if any of the tenants find out, you can "take care of them" and cover it under the pretense of heart attack.

I had a treehouse, with a small tv and the NES were hooked up to a couple extension cables, me and my friends would lay up there all night playing super mario bros and reading comics, and all that jazz.

If they reduced cross map objectives and backtracking that would be great.

I still have issues with the loot drops because so many items are crap and it begins to feel like a chore scouring a corpsefield and opening chests to only find things that don't even sell well. It also doesn't help that I'm tired of fps'. Borderlands has a leg up because of the abilities, but I'm still tired of primarily gunning things.
