Yeah, it really should've ended with series 2.

Sherlock spoilers
The way they brought him back to life was dumb. They should've just had him and Moriarty die with each other. It would've been appropriate.

Which one is better, and why?

You can't participate in this thread if you haven't seen both series for obvious reasons.

edit: I realize that the two shouldn't be put up against each other, but I let it happen for sake the of discussion.

Elementary shows you how he did it, and it's much more realistic. Sherlock is more of a super-human in Sherlock, which is not fair, and in contrast to his character, the police are really dumb. It's a mass appeal, as Secondclass says, but I'm shifting the accusation toward Sherlock.

Sherlock I want to watch.

Elementary just seems like that show that's on after Person of Interest. It's like when a radio station has a lousy segue. The first song is great, but the second song really has no business coming next.
