Is Windows 10 worth it?

I know we just had a thread like this before but Batch wasn't really active in it.

Anyways, I just bought a new laptop and I had to get used to Windows 8.1... and I actually ended up really liking it. But I have this notification to upgrade to 10.

What sort of improvements, if any, would Win10 give me? Should I just stick with 8.1 if I like it?

'cuz I don't really care what Microsoft or the NSA does with my hard drive so long as they're not tampering with it.

It's okay, I wouldn't go back to Windows 8.1 cause I like the Windows 10 layout better, but it's something you have to see for yourself. You can upgrade and keep all your files with it and you can also go backt o Windows 8.1 from 10 with all your files if you don't like it.

What about the layout is different, though? Aside from the lack of an app screen (which I like), 8.1's desktop seems identical.

It's only like minor differences, not something really noticeable unless you use it.

Are you saying you have something to hide??? Are you a pedophile or a terrorist??? If you're not doing anything wrong then you should welcome being searched at all times. Why do you need privacy?

I don't. I'm very open to having my privacy invaded.

But if my privacy being surrendered doesn't give me something in return (I.E., file transfer over wifi to another computer more easily), then I'll stick with Windows 8.1 simply because I enjoy it more.
