I hate many things. A lot of the things I hate are in the media.

For example, uh... Portal.

Portal is a game I've played and enjoyed, but I never beat it because I didn't feel like I was getting adequately rewarded for solving the puzzles. "Beat this room, get another room." Just not very fun to me.

Then comes along the Internet, touting the game as one of the greatest of all time, yadda yadda yadda... That's all well and good. Oh, they made a meme out of the cake thing. Okay, not funny, but whatever. Oh, now the companion cube is a meme. Not funny either. Now the song at the end of the credits is a meme. Okay, this is getting obnoxious.

Portal 2 comes out. Community loves it even more. Five new memes are created, and they are repeated and repeated and repeated ad nauseum across every gaming forum on the Internet. Okay, durr, the robot with the funny voice is a potato. FUNNY. But not really, that's some Invader Zim shit. That is to say, not fucking funny. Don't get me started on the "SPAAACE" shit. Christ.

I hate Portal.

Which is mostly the fault of the community and my intolerance for stupid shit.
Is that fair?

Sometimes I wonder if these people know that you can have a presence on the Internet without basing it off of some show you watch. That means an original username, an original avatar, original everything else. And never actually talking about or making references to the shows you like unless it's specifically applicable to the conversation or relevant to the discussion in some way or another.

Battlelog is one of the most toxic forums I have been to, not because of psychotic flamewars or X is OP but because of the ridiculous faction warring ._.

You have the Flyboyphaggots (I'm not a fan of hardcore pilots in the game but the ones on the forums turn my stomach.) Then the endless lynch mobs for snipers (Which I always have to avoid <.<) the Tankers (My mechanical brothers, loathed by most infantry) and the Infantry only plebs who generally use the same three guns as every bugger else on Domination and preach about how they are all you need and the game should be centred around them .____.

There is a reason that I haven't been on the forums there for a good few months now.

What makes it all worse is that DICE sometimes listens to the retards on their forums and promptly nerf something into uselessness whilst leaving the actual problem untouched ._.

Case in point: Stingers, Jets, Helicopters and the endless imbalance it causes.
