Input on Anarchy Weekend

It's the end of the month and that means Anarchy weekend/Penguin Party/whatever I decide to call it is coming up soon. And so I would like the forum's input on what to do regarding the monthly board of mayhem. Read below for a few options I'd like you to consider:

Sandboxed Penguin Party

Option one means we'd basically keep the monthly Penguin Party the same. This means no insulting members and starting fights. I'm emphasizing "sandboxed" as a way to convey how we'd treat rule-breakers in that board.

If you were to break the rules and insult someone or start a fight in Penguin Party, you would be ejected for that round but no warnings/bans would be applied in the main forums. All threads, posts, and moderating decisions stay contained within that board.

Sandboxed Anarchy

The second option is more or less bringing back the classic, anything-goes-as-long-as-it's-legal Anarchy. The "sandboxed" element here would apply to discussions staying inside that board.

Basically, complaining about Anarchy or starting shit about Anarchy outside of that board would warrant a 1-to-3 day ban on the mains and permanent ejection (maybe) from future Anarchy weekends.

Remove it completely

We could also completely dismantle the whole thing and never have another Penguin Party or Anarchy Weekend again.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on these ideas and any other ideas you have. Voting is good too, but your feedback is more important on this issue than just the numbers.

The first option seems like the best.
Penguin Party went down well compared to Anarchy, which always had spilloff, it just got worse as time went on.

Removing it completely... I don't really care, but for those that do, option 1 is the right choice.

Frankly, I don't see many users excited about Penguin Party. There isn't that desire or excitement to it that people had when waiting for Anarchy to come around. Honestly, our biggest problem with Anarchy was when the spillover happened (And boy, did it happen), the staff couldn't quite handle it well because our rules at the time were so vague, so open ended, and so unclear. Out of this situation came the revised rules that have worked well.

Honestly, I'd like to see one more attempt at the original Anarchy, with the new limits that you stated in the OP - and with the stipulation that if it gets extremely out of control, we'd have permission to shut it down before the end of the weekend. If you guys can handle not being absolute monsters, it will go well. If not, you only reaffirm our reasoning for having Penguin Party in the future.

Penguin Party was fun but it didn't have nearly as much activity. Honestly it's a shame that people are so mad about not being able to attack each other anymore, because if Penguin Party had the same activity as Anarchy, it would be way better.

Truth be told, I don't think giving Anarchy another shot would be too terrible, but granted only if the mods are fully ready to handle the spillover.

Pretty much this. I'd rather have PPS because people take the internet seriously and get irritated when insulted when they are mistreated.

I'm all for original Anarchy, I only got to fully experience it once and it was the one where Class made Deci rage quit and all of the Kiyo drama. A no-holds-barred atmosphere is fun as fuck as long as you aren't easily offended

Anarchy for sure. Penguin Party is just the Flood with porn, and it breaks up activity in the forums for no reason. A self-contained Anarchy literally hurts no one. If you're easily offended, just don't fucking go there. It's beyond me why posters like Deci, knowing that they'd be harrased, went there anyway, and then complained about being harassed. If you're not going to make it Anarchy, then just don't do anything. "Penguin Party" is only an asinine middle ground meant to appease everyone that ends up not pleasing anyone.

That was something I was going to suggest, but I don't see it going too well.
Because it's anarchy, they might not take it fully seriously, plus I doubt many members eligible for such a position would want to be required to view some of the shit that'll get posted there.
