In conceptual terms? Pffft, no.
In terms of execution, I just feel like Poe and Finn had far too little screentime together to warrant the relationship they had [though it was obviously performed well + believably by both Boyega and Isaac]. In fact, I'd honestly have preferred it if Finn and Poe were the main characters instead of Rey.

Seeing Star Wars again I realized how much I like Poe as a character. Actually reminds me of a friend from high school with his positive attitude and talent. He needs to be on the ground with the others more often.

I liked Finn despite how people thought he was a weird character that didn't really fit. Knowing his background it kinda makes sense he'd be that way.
