The angel agreed to trade a set of white wings for the head of another demon. Overjoyed, the demon killed one of his own and plucked the head right off its still-warm body.

The angel then led the demon to heaven, where he underwent centuries of the cruelest tortures imaginable. Finally, the pain was so great that he lost consciousness - at which point his dark wings turned the promised shade of white.

I'd be using them for personal gain, but not as far as to say villain. More on a small scale, like Mr. Incredible before the majority of the film.

Well you know what a villain is, Joker, Bane, Loki etc

An anti-hero is like the Punisher, a vigilante who has good intentions but does bad things to achieve them. So while Batman would beat 10 bells of shit out of the joker the Punisher would just shoot the Joker dead.

In some comics and other media, there is very little difference between the two. That's one of the purposes of the anti-hero type: pushing the boundary of what constitutes evil and what doesn't.

An anti-hero generally has something endearing about them or some other heroic quality (like Dexter).

Depends on the type of powers, and how easily I can abuse them, for example, if my power was a stairway beam, I'd be a hero, or if all I had was flight, or strength... if I had automation powers on the other hand, or maybe shapeshifting... I'd be full villain and abuse the ever loving shit out of it.
