I've uploaded some pictures that I took in iceland, I'm not gonna do them all because >200 is way too much time for me to spend but hey ho.

Hafnarfjordur

Some pictures from the town that we stayed in, pretty nice place but you can tell it's an active shipping port.

A restaurant we went to called 'Viking Village', they served some... interesting... cuisine there, the sight of a family of chinese tourists devouring a boiled sheep's head was er, unpleasant. The food was good though. They had this mural on the wall of the norse gods, which I thought was pretty neat.
I think it's Frigg, Odin, Thor, Freya and I can't remember the 5th but it's the one who loki tricked into shooting his brother with mistletoe.

The Golden Circle

We went on a guided tour of some of the best places to visit, waterfalls and geysirs etc. Took a whole lot of photos that day so here are some.

Parliamentary fields

This was the place that the original settlers turned up to discuss matters with one another, it was bloody cold and right out in the middle of nowhere so proper viking democracy tbh.

The view was really something, just miles and miles of flat tundra at the foot of the mountain we were on. I think a glacier carved it's way through this place a long time ago but holy shit it's something to behold.

I can't remember the name of the place because it was a bit... long and runic... but it's where they film a lot of shit for game of thrones.

This place looked really nice, the wind was stronk though so the house came out a tad blurry at the edge


Viking Horses

Some pretty shit from the foot of the mountain

Some of the views looked stunning and the way the sun was setting into the trees was just wew/10

Gullfjall (something like that, meant golden waterfall)

Some pillock apparently lobbed a pot of gold into the top of this waterfall 1000 years ago and when the sun is out the waterfall glows gold. Yosemite has a waterfall that does this trick too but with a red tint.

But it decided to go full blizzard when we were there so i got a white waterfall instead.

Geysirheim

We went to a volcanic area after the waterfall, if you've ever been to one you'll know the smell. wew.
It looked very pretty though. I've gotta find a way to upload the waterfall video and the geysir one because it's something special but another day perhaps.

Wow it's literally covered in ice

Near the end of the trip it kinda was, the pavements and roads had about an inch of melted snow welded to them. When we got there it was more like britain though, pissing with rain and cloudy 24/7.

It's certainly a nice place, the only thing that's a bit of a hurdle to that is the language.

It's a bit of a mess, like Jeb!, so trying to learn it would be a right pain in the arse.

Then again they all speak perfect english anyway so you can blag it easily enough.

Hmm, they are a little bit different.

Generally speaking, there were exceptions of course, but the people there are quite stonefaced.
It's hard to describe because they weren't miserable or rude or anything, but you could tell they weren't the sort of people to get excitable over things.

It's a bit of a contrast from britain where you tend to get either 'rude cunt' or 'cheery soul' in shops and the like. Nobody was rude and everyone was quite polite but they were somewhat, distant I guess is the term.
