I had lunchables for lunch and just ate reese cups
Oh and cumin, I put that shit on everything.
Are you my brother? He puts cumin in everything and it gets to the point where we argue about it. I'd be making taco salad and I'm putting taco seasoning in the ground beef, and then he strolls in and says I need to add cumin. I told him he can add some to his own bowl then he takes and seasoning pouch and shows me one of the ingredients is cumin. I'm like "Seriously? If it's already in there why do I need more?" Because store bought taco seasonings are for bitches and generally lacking in flavor.
Works for me just fine fam. Quote from: 卐RIGHT WING DAS SQUAD卐 on May 25, 2016, 04:15:16 PMBecause store bought taco seasonings are for bitches and generally lacking in flavor.
I'm putting taco seasoning
I used to have nothing but caffeinated soda for breakfast. No wonder I felt like shit all the time.
That shit is terrible for you, and just doesn't compare. Making your own seasoning is much better.
What's the difference between buying all the spices then adding it in together and just buying the seasoning all in one package? Quote from: Aether on May 25, 2016, 04:46:24 PMThat shit is terrible for you, and just doesn't compare. Making your own seasoning is much better.
Spices (Including chili pepper, cumin, paprika, oregano), onion, whey (milk), salt, garlic, sugar, potato starch, and natural flavor.
Because pre-made seasoning is full of food additives, oils, and preservatives that are unhealthy af.Example: El Paso Taco Seasoning: Chili pepper, salt, maltodextrin, spice, onion powder, corn starch, yellow corn flour. Contains less than 2% of: partially hydrogenated soybean oil, silicon dioxide (anticaking agent), sunflower and/or cottonseed oil, natural flavor, ethoxyquin (preservative).Home made seasoning:Cumin, chili powder, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, salt, red pepper, black pepper.
I'm looking at my McCormick taco seasoning packet right now and the ingredients are: QuoteSpices (Including chili pepper, cumin, paprika, oregano), onion, whey (milk), salt, garlic, sugar, potato starch, and natural flavor. That's on the the nutrition facts so they can't lie through their teeth and say the preservatives are the natural flavor so my packets don't have any of that crap.
Ahh not as unhealthy as El Paso, but whey, sugar, and potato starch have no place in a taco. For the average American, sugar is already ingested faaaaaar too much. For someone like me, whose whole digestive system is wrecked from processed foods to the point that sugar=pain, it's a worrying thing to see it being sneaked into seasonings.
I'm not saying it's a salad or anything, but I only have it once in a blue moon.
