Ah-nold Schwarzenegger was only in this movie to say one-liners the whole time. And the movie should have been named "Batman & Robin feat. Batgirl."

I see why people say this is the worst Batman movie.

The weird thing is, back in the day, we all thought nothing of it. It was the 90s. Nobody was taking super hero's seriously. Then the times inexorably changed, and now we look back and cringe. But let me restate that with emphasis: back in the day most of us thought nothing of it; it was cool. Remember Small Soldiers? It was cool like Small Soldiers.

Which probably helped us accept what came next. There weren't many action blockbusters that weren't cheesy as fuck back then.
