So, Skype is fucked.

Well, I'm going to teach you how to fix it since I was stupid enough to actually bomb chat with the bug by posting it with the Windows 8 app.

So for once, I'm taking responsibly for my own actions.

For Windows users such as myself.

Go to Tools > Notifications > IM & SMS > IM Settings.

Set keep history to nothing and hit clear history. This is what I did. You have to act as quick as possible before the bug loads again. After that Skype should work fine. That's guaranteed.

iOS/Android users: simply delete the Sep7agon chat before it crashes. That's how I fixed it.

Notes: Even with the message removed, the bug still remained, so this really is the only way to get it to work again.

I tried looking into the issue with Visual Studio and it wouldn't load the script that causes it. Whatever and wherever the script is, it's propriety and I don't have the permissions to remove it.


With that said, that is the last time I'm diving by zero, and I after thinking about it for a long while now, I am sorry.

I will accept any hate from this point forward, because I have it coming.

Quick edit: For Windows users, if all else fails, installing one of the old versions will fix it. The bug won't be affected on those. That or use the Windows 8 app until the patch is released.

iOS/Android: If deleting the chat doesn't fix it, reinstalling the app should.
