They're both bloodlusted, and will stop at nothing to kill the other.

This is set up pretty poorly. It would be better to put John at 8. After 2 years of nothing but special forces training? Steve has heart, but that's pretty much it. The Spartan 2's had already fought against regular UNSC Marines, and won, by 10.
