i never realized how annoying army recruiters are until today

so as i was walking out of the gym today, i noticed a little table with a US army banner over the front and two recruiters standing near it. one of them approached me and first asked me about my workout, if i'm a student at fgcu, what's my major, etc. when i told him that i'm a business management major he looked at me funny and was like, "oh, so you wanna be a boss? then become an army officer!" before i could even say anything back he continued to ramble on about how good a job working in the army is, and how i could "be my own boss" as an officer. then somehow he managed to trail the conversation off into how he graduated from FSU and played running back on their football team.

ultimately he kinda verbally forced me into filling out one of those contact info sheets that other recruiters use to spam your ass with calls and e-mails. he warned me not to put down fake information but i did it anyway, i ain't a fucking pussy

anyway has anyone else had an experience similar to this?

there's an army recruitment center near mi house, the guy inside would always challenge kids walking past to a push up contest and slowly mold their minds in a drug dealer type fashion to join the force.

you can't really blame them, as they're just doing a job. he also wasn't particularly annoying

If he thought you were going to put down fake information, he should have just stopped bothering you.

I've had some experience with recruiters before and Army/Marines are the worst.

Yeah I worked at a diner for about three years and there was this army recruit guy that would come in all the time. At first he was really nice and would bring in his 4 year old son and would only bring up recruiting me every once in a while. Then he became creepy and started hitting on me all the time and he knew I had a boyfriend at the time he had even met him. He would always ask me on dates that I would politely decline because I had a boyfriend and plus he was 8 years my senior (I was about 19 at the time). Then one day he snapped and got mad at me for not going on a date with him. He started screaming at me and I got scared and my manager had to ask him to leave, and luckily he never came back after that. I was seriously scared because the following three days an unmarked government car parked outside of my job and they never came in. I had my coworkers walk me to my car for two weeks straight after that.

They did that to my brother but he kept saying he couldn't (he has medical problems, his skin breaks very easily, he bleeds like crazy, etc etc) and the recruiter kept calling him a pussy, it was kind of funny.

I had with an electrician. My grandma's electric bill was high so she called PSEG. When he came I had to translate what he said but when ever I tried he he'd cut me off and wouldn't shut the fuck up.
