You aren't alone, and I empathize with the pressure.

 I had to teach myself throughout college algebra. I was struggling in the course and was on the verge of failing the course unless I passed my final exam, so I planned taking time off from work, studied everything within four days, and passed my exam as well as the entire course.

Usually that happens. As long as the teacher gives some examples and explain the fundamentals while giving a bunch of assignment will help alot. Gives me the chance to thoroughly figure it out and be confident.

Though you might now want to hear our surveying final. Not sure how i got a 70 because i know i knew less than 20% of it. It is so bad that it is hilarious how i passed that course.
