Why can't they write, "Watch what happens when you put water in a glass?" It's more descriptive and it's less asinine.

it's no more descriptive and no less clickbait

what would be more descriptive is if they told you exactly what happens when you pour water in the cup

everything that happens in the video ought to be in the title--that's what they're for
you read the title so that you know whether to watch it or not based on content described

and if the title isn't describing the content, that should tell you right away not to bother with it, because it's probably a scam
