"More than what it appears on the surface."

A two second Google search would've told you that.Dr. Doom is another villain whose design was pretty much one of the main inspirations for Darth Vader's design. This excerpt explains the similarities between the Winter Soldier and Darth Vader reasonably well.QuoteVader and Bucky are both only pawns in the schemes of greater players, though they ended up in their respective situations through very different means. Although he was manipulated to a degree by the Emperor, Anakin became Darth Vader of his own volition. In contrast, Bucky had no say in becoming the Winter Soldier. He’s confused when Steve calls him by name (“Who the hell is Bucky?”), echoing Vader’s reaction to Luke referring to him as Anakin (“That name no longer has any meaning for me!”). Cheap nostalgia-bait cash-in with unlikable, chauvinistic, and slobbish characters?Or a social commentary depicting a dystopic vision where gaming, as a global phenomenon, is destroying the lives of millions?
Can't be the latter since there's nothing to back up that statement.
Relatability is about as shallow as you can get, by the way. It's the most safe form of film-making there is. Not that there's nothing wrong with that--it's the easiest way to make an entertaining movie. But it isn't deep.If you're able to take something away from a movie that you CAN'T relate to, or can only relate to in abstract ways? That's deep.
Because I can totally relate to the plight of Star Wars characters without having it be abstract? Or take from it without relating to it?
Eva isn't even deep, you faggot. It's freshman psych meets intro to religious symbolism in art.

By "abstract," I mean "abstract."Not, "I can relate to Luke Skywalker despite not being a magical swordsman or star pilot."
And if I were to take something from Star Wars that I can't relate to?

Could you relate to any of the characters?
Vader's tragic hero theme?

What did you take away from it?

Seeing an emotional struggle from a character that at the time of watching (My first viewings of Episode V and VI) I thought was just a cold, unemotional, machine without any regard for the lives of others.
That's not a takeaway. You're just describing what happened.Did it change your life? Did you learn anything? Did you become a better person?
Well when I think about somebody who I think might be a rotten bitch or a fucking douche bag, seeing that helped me wonder what would it take in their lives to reach a level of caring about how I feel.

I forgot what my point was.
