I'm reading God Emperor of Dune at the moment.

It's... oblique yet oddly distressing. Frank Herbert will plunge you into his own colorless cynicism and then at odd (or scheduled) moments casually disgust you. The imagery is solid and/or well expressed and expressing as always.

Discuss reading.

I like reading.
I did a review on a book I read during the summer, it's one of the first reviews in the News section. >.>

Few months, feels like forever though.

Call me unoriginal but I'm currently rereading the Fellowship of the Ring.

I read the Silmarillion 2 winters ago, and most of that is still fresh in my mind. You wouldn't believe how much all that lore in the Silmarillion enhances the story.

I haven't read the Silmarillion but I've read the Bestiary.

The Dune series is one that I've really wanted to get for a while, but lack of space limited my book purchases. Now that it is no longer a problem I'll be getting them veeeerry soon <_<

I love all of that series.
I read the Silmarillion first when I was 9.

I've read all those books at least 6 times.

I've read all of it at least once. I think I started with the Hobbit in Middle School, and the Lord of the Rings when I was in High school. This is the first time I've ever revisited the books even though I dearly love Tolkieny things.

Same. No matter what I read, Tolkien's work stays my favourite.

Read it from back to front, but if you know the basics, it actually becomes a storybook, with a load of different stories inside that you can pick an choose to read.
