100% agree with Deci (when he was joking). Learn fucking English, this is America. Obviously the family took it way too far. I would have just asked for a manager and asked for a new waiter, instead of making it a huge deal.

I find it kind of funny that this excuse is always used as damage control itself when people get trolled now. "Ha, we weren't fooled, you were being serious the whole time!"I've seen this countless times. That's not to say that this was necessarily a "troll", more just saying unjustifiably idiotic opinions to get people to respond.

You're not supposed to admit your "ruse" the moment you start looking really bad, and everyone's starting to gang up on you. Otherwise, it kinda just looks like you're trying to save face.

When you say you were joking almost as soon as things go sour it makes it seem like you didn't get the reaction you were after, which is the opposite of trolling.

You can't know who people truly are on the Internet.
You can talk to someone every day online for decades, but that's not friendship. You're not doing anything together, you're just talking about things that you do in the actual world.
It's just pathetic to consider online personas of people "friends".
It's just pathetic.

Is your name Snake? Then you have a persona (i.e "username")
That's not a persona, that's a username.
