100% agree with Deci (when he was joking). Learn fucking English, this is America.

Obviously the family took it way too far. I would have just asked for a manager and asked for a new waiter, instead of making it a huge deal.

well somebody needs to pick that phone up

PSA: I took this fine opportunity to just ruse all of you.
No, you just realized how fucking stupid you were being, so now you're backtracking.

I've never seen more blatant damage control than this.
I find it kind of funny that this excuse is always used as damage control itself when people get trolled now.
"Ha, we weren't fooled, you were being serious the whole time!"
I've seen this countless times.

That's not to say that this was necessarily a "troll", more just saying unjustifiably idiotic opinions to get people to respond.

My first reply in this thread, I stole the words straight from a Fox News Anchor from 2007 that MSNBC was making fun of.

That should have been the first sign there was gonna be some Jimmy rustling.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but I've seriously never been more confident about it until now.

Even if he really was trolling, it's still damage control. You're not supposed to admit your "ruse" the moment you start looking really bad, and everyone's starting to gang up on you. Otherwise, it kinda just looks like you're trying to save face.

The point is to milk it a bit longer, maybe until we just decide for ourselves that its a "ruse". When you say you were joking almost as soon as things go sour it makes it seem like you didn't get the reaction you were after, which is the opposite of trolling.

I know, but knowing my circumstances of my past, I pretty much was going to be put under a different light that I'm some kind of retard again, so yeah I failed at it.

I know that now.

i'm much closer to and have known some of my internet friends far longer than my """"real life"""" friends

not all of them, but definitely some of them--i've stuck with some of these people for 10 years, and we've shared so much together--it would be an outright insult if i did not consider them a bona fide friend

the only thing that separates internet friends from """"""""real life""""""" friends is the lack of physical interaction, which is unneeded

You can't know who people truly are on the Internet. You can talk to someone every day online for decades, but that's not friendship. You're not doing anything together, you're just talking about things that you do in the actual world.

That's far from an insult, it's the truth.

same thing i do with my """real""" friends

there isn't a single thing that i do with my  "real life" friends that i don't do with my internet friends

you don't have to "do shit" with people for them to be your friends

huh, great point

i guess i should ring up my ex-friend on skype--who i've known for 10 years, and i speak to every single day--someone who likes to stream movies with me on the weekends and play smash and street fighter--someone who's sought guidance from me on a number of his life issues, and someone who i've trusted and looked upon with respect for being a kind, intelligent, funny, and important part of my life

i guess i should just ring him up and tell him that we're not friends, because how could anyone be friends over the internet

That's just a long-distance friendship. You met him in the real world, got separated for whatever reason, and keep in touch using the Internet as a tool.

Far different from thinking representations of people you've never met on some internet forum are your actual friends.

Nope. Never have. Never even said that I have.

Funny how you think I have, based solely on that post alone. I didn't even mention anything about having known him in person. But our friendship is so strong, that it's almost like we've met each other in person. Funny, that.

It's almost like you're an irrational moron and it's perfectly possible to have and maintain friendships over the Internet.

So you find it pathetic. Why should I give a fuck?
