The Forerunners are the teachers who can exact authority by sending everyone into detention when they're naughty by taking away their phones and ending break. Then the Precursors are like the school admininistrators and an shut down the entire school if they'd o wish.

I think it was an experiment from last year where some researchers managed to entangle a small crystal structure to a bunch a photons, which somehow made them act "like atoms"(ie could get them to hold some sort of structure). It's pretty above me so you may want to look it up yourself.

Seems to be a scaling problem there though.
