Learn to speed read! I bet my mental capacity will let me go to 5000 wpm by the end of my school year.

I will tell you what my reading speed is at the end of the school year, so please feel mentally challenged.

but sers tho, speed reading is skill not many have considered, or even heard about, but it's basically a means of reading faster, or accessing more information faster. The world record goes to a guy who read 80 pages in 1 minute.

Now imagine when you're reading that book. Imagine how much time you spent, and how little you progressed.

I forgot to mention that I will be training in speed reading using books. I don't see the point in reading a measly 6 words at a time, when I could be reading a page at a time, but that's for another age.

Now I will just try to speed read in leaping text.

There's a difference between speed, and understanding. You might be able to read quickly, and cover ground faster than others, but would you be able to process and understand it all?

What you just said, I'll have your head. No, but anyway. My comprehension of the text fades at around 1400 wpm on the site, but even then, I can understand about 80%, or more.

I can "read" fast and not comprehend anything at around 1600 or higher, but tbh I haven't even tried that much as at around 1500 I could understand little of what was being said.

Edit: Oh shit, I forgot to say that reading faster will help you remember the information better than reading really slowly.

Example: When you're reading and then you realize that you have only read, but not understood what was going on, so you went back to read. With speed reading, your mind absorbs the words, and new ones are there to replace them quickly, and thus your brain let's you take in more info.
