A lot of people mistaken marijuana as some sort of master healer plant that cures all your problems. It can bring your awareness to what's missing in your life as well as bring awareness to false beliefs about yourself that you've held on to for years, but when you become habituated to smoking weed, you ignore everything else that doesn't have your immediate focus. I think that's why a lot of stoners appear to be pretentious, aloof, and somewhat detached.
