No, you haven't.

Pretty much just find a character you like and read the important/critically acclaimed story arcs independently. There's no real way to get "into comics" aside from jumping on-board right now and dealing with any story problems you have as they pop up. Eventually you'll have been reading for so long you'll effectively know everything.

They range from 2.99 to 3.99 from what I see. I get a discount at this one store and they give first issues for about a buck in certain series that have been out for a little while. But some can be pricey
