T4R. I've seen all of the movies and the Clone Wars animated series. Other than that, I am completely unexposed. I am interested in both canon and non-canon material. Where do you recommend I start my journey through the behemoth of a universe that is Star Wars

RPG's, they're basically a Star Wars version of Mass Effect. You can get both on Steam for pretty cheap.

The recent Vader comic that Mmmm Napalm sometimes posts about looks pretty alright, so I'd probably start there. Any of the recent comic stuff they're putting out there, really.

As far as games go, I'm not sure what to recommend. They cover a few different genres, so it depends on what you're even interested in. There's:
-RPGs like the KOTOR series (although the mechanics of the first game are a bit... arcane, and the story rips a lot from the movies);
-FPS games like Republic Commando and the earlier Jedi Knight games;
-FPS/TPS games like Battlefront and the later Jedi Knight games;
-Action-adventure games like Force Unleashed, Lego Star Wars, and Bounty Hunter;
-Arcadey-action like Rogue Squadron;
-flight-sim like X-Wing/Tie Fighter/X-Wing Alliance

With some overlap in-between. If I had to pick three for you, it'd have to be Battlefront 2, Jedi Academy, and any Rogue Squadron. They're probably the most accessible games on that list that aren't Lego Star Wars (which is good in its own right), and cover a broad range of stuff to do, from soldier-y stuff to Jedi stuff to cocky pilot stuff.

If you're looking for books, I would look into the Darth Plagueis novel. I personally haven't read it yet, but it interests me more than the other ones, at least because it fills a bunch of gaps left by the prequel trilogy, similarly to the Clone Wars series (both of them). It sounds like another case of the EU being superior to the actual movies.

Now's actually the perfect time to get into Star Wars, because the new canon isn't that old and it wouldn't be too difficult to get up to speed. Here's a list of what is canon, in chronological order:

KOTOR 1 and 2 are all you need. With KOTOR 2, though, the Restored Content Mod is essential.
