Aha! But, a birthday is something special. A reminder of your origins. And a reminder that you're still here. Most of all, it's a bit like a reset button. You look back on all that you've accomplished in the last year, and look ahead to see what you think you can do this year!

I was never one for parties either, but it is a day of celebration, because looking back on the year, I accomplished much. And now it's a new year ahead of me. New roads, new paths. Which road shall I take this year?

Eh. I don't like the attention. Means I have to be around family who see me twice a year for twenty minutes total and shit, I prefer to just have the money that would be spent on it to go and buy something cool instead.

Lucky me then. Most of my family are ded surprise big not. I've got my mother, her brother, my sister and her husband, and my little niece. They all know I'm a quiet person. They'll say howdy and give me something, but generally leave me to my peace.

These are folks worth paying attention to, and people that believe the same of me. Who am I to argue?

Haha. I'm a real simple person to shop for. Which means I'm in no real hurry to leave when they show up to say howdy, since I can't exactly spend an entire day marvelling at socks or clothing. Funny enough, clothes have become valuable to me over the years as presents since I fucking hate clothes shopping.

I must be the only person alive who genuinely smiles when they get socks for a present. And, plus, good for inside family jokes too.
