Hard to believe they killed off such a great character for seemingly no reason. I heard that there was an actor who was kind of upset about being killed off, and if it was Barristan, I couldn't blame him at all.

Yeah that really pissed me off, one of the greatest swordsman to have ever lived and he was shanked by some fuck boy in a mask.

I've stopped taking the show seriously,  I'm just gonna watch it for bants and stick to the  books for the actual story.
