Oh, hey.
I'd say I'm pretty successful now. Doubt I'll get much more successful in the decades to come.

How successful are you now

In terms of what?

What you consider successful. I'm not looking for a specific answer

Well I have a decent paying job that I enjoy. My own house located in a nice neighborhood. A wife and child and many local family ties.

I mean, I just don't see myself getting any more successful than I am now.

i hope i'll be just as successful as i want to be. i'm not terribly ambitious. i just want a good, relaxing job keeping books, a comfortable (and well-decorated) apartment, and a nice girl to live out my days with.

I will be 23 in two months. I've spent eight months (almost nine) after graduating college being unemployed. I made a huge mistake choosing a shitty liberal arts major years ago and paying for it. I don't have enough money to get a master's degree. I've been applying to Gamestop and Kmart and now my standards have dropped so low that I would consider myself successful to work shit minimum wage jobs because there's nothing else I can do. I used to think I would be successful and have an important job just because I had any college degree. How wrong I was...

Don't give up hope mate, climb back up the ladder. You can do it
Nah, there's nothing I can do, trust me I have been searching for 9 months and submitted 70+ applications with thoughtfully written cover letters. The most I can hope for is to work in retail, eventually become an assistant manager, and then maybe a manager. All I can do with my degree is teach, which I can't even do now without going back to school for another 2 years and I don't want to do that.

did you get an english degree without a teaching certification or something? try getting a job at an insurance company like geico.. i hear they aren't too picky with hiring and they're good about giving you the hours you need with good pay

Work at a Casino?
People get drunk and tip stupidly. My cousin used to make up to £2000 a month just from tips alone sometimes.

I plan on joining the military after I get my degree, but after that I haven't given it much thought. There's plenty of places hiring chemical engineers so I'm not too too concerned about it, but I'll play things safe just in case the economy is real bad by the time I graduate.

I neither fear, nor despise.
How successful do I think I'll be?

I honestly have my doubts. Not of my ability, but of whether I can open all the doors necessary to make it with my music. It's not just being good. It's a hundred different things:

Networking
Good music
Being unique
Having an image
Being in a location that can get you performances
The proper genre for your location and audience

.........it's a lot to worry about.

At least I'll have my Bachelor's Degree in [to be determined] to fall back on if my music is an absolute flop.

If I'm not here, I'm doing photography. Or I'm asleep. Or in lockdown. One of those three, anyway.

The current titlebar/avatar setup is just normal.
Depending if I pass my tertiary education, I'll at least have a better chance of being successful, in stuff with an above average wage an perhaps a career I'll mildly enjoy rather than working in a fast food chain until I'm 40.

No guarantees like everything in life, but it's certainly seems better than nothing.

Go with Computer Science, growing industry, multiple applications, generally high paying jobs.

We always say to fight fire, you must use fire. This is wrong. Fighting fire with fire will leave scars and a new flame will rise. We must instead use water. It is the opposite of fire, it extinguishes the fire, it cools, it refreshes, it heals. We are made up of 70% water, we are not made up of 70% fire. Please practice what we truly are
I have succeed where many never will and that is being open minded. The thought everything I ever knew or will know, could be or is a lie.

A band. My books. I'm a naturally good actor and I can draw/paint/whatever, although I prefer inks, so I'll probably dabble in those once I've made it. Oh and poetry. I'll see what I can do for the perth poetry scene. Also aspirations in some super-ethical business projects if I ever have the money/clout. The very height of my dream is a sort of Artistic Empire in my name. Twist Brand. I am the revolution.

But it's best to be humble and live in the here and now. I'll always keep it real and stay honest. I'm just some guy.

A Jack of all trades? Impressive.

You probably know, I'm trying to do music. Trying to fulfill that artistic side of me.
But I'll have a fallback if it doesn't work out: whatever I get my Bachelor's Degree in.

I get fulfillment when I get a song recorded, and it sounds great. Or I play in the band Thursday nights at my college group, and everything comes together perfectly. I'd like to live off of delving further and further into songwriting and playing music. It won't be easy, and I'll probably lose a lot of money at first.

But if it gives me meaning in life? It's worth it.
