Not bothered so much by the fact that I didn't attend prom. Bothered by the fact that after four years I haven't made any friends. Haven't interacted with people outside of school in four years.

So your problem is a lack of a social life rather than "I didn't go to prom I'm going to an hero"
That is a cause for concern, I don't have a solution I'm in a similar predicament

I remember the time I didn't go to my Prom. It was great.

I went to 2.  They cost me about $40 each.  I had already owned clothes that didn't make me look like a bum.
It's pretty much a concert with dinner at an extremely fancy venue...so that's the point?  You grind for hours to trap-music, endure the worst blue-balls in existence on a limo-ride home, and then have angsty teenage sex if you weren't a fuck-up all night.  That, or you spend money to watch other people have fun while you sip Pepsi in the corner.

They were nice, but it's only a big deal to overly sentimental people or the people that have a high-school sweetheart.  When you get to college, you can accomplish the same thing for a lot less; plus, it takes less effort, has less drama, and isn't as lame.
