The DC tv shows aren't particularly great, but I think it's bizarre that they're not going to use any of the thoroughly established characters they already have.

They're 0/3 so far, and I doubt WW or JL will make much of a difference.

It isn't just about net profit. It has universally terrible reviews and had terrible box office longevity. It made relatively little money after opening weekend in both domestic and foreign theaters. Audiences saw it because it's a recognizable, big-budget movie, but don't conflate that with a successful performance.

"Professional" Critics are canning it because it isn't the generic Super Hero sitcom with some fighting in between every three jokes and exposition. The real problem is that they're rushing everything to compete with the MCU. We're 3 movies in and the exact same complaints keep coming up. Poor writing, bad editing etc... If they took their time and did a proper production cycle, these issues resolve themselves. But they're rushing to catch some of that cape movie money before it runs out. They don't realize that their rushed movies are what would make us stop going.

The entire movie roster could be universally panned by every metropolitan critic under the sun and they'd still continue making them so long as they're generating profit.

No one said they were flops, but both of them made significantly less than the studio apparently wanted and I'm not sure they can keep up the trend of making subpar movies and expect lesser titles like Aquaman and Cyborg to make anything.

They gave the movies unfair reviews. One must be incredibly blind to ignore the blatant Marvel bias that is coming from """professional""" critics. When the census of these reviewers GROSSLY contradicts what the general audience feels about the same film, there's other things going on behind the scenes.

It wouldn't be a problem if the census was 50/50 with reviewers since that would be a roughly close correspondence with what the audience thinks as well. But canned by almost every critic and only praised by ones not sucking Disney's cock? Yeah, that's obvious bullshit.
