I had them for a year and then got them off

Turns out that ortho fucked up my bite and heredity fucked up my jaw so I have them on for a year to get my teeth fixed and need them one more year to aid a surgery that I just got.

I'm getting them. Though it's just for these two teeth that moved each other out of place and one of my front teeth.
