How far would Jorgen Von Strangle get in the DC and Marvel universe?

The most powerful fairy in the universe has unrestricted magic which means he can do anything he desires to do. Is there anything in those universes which is preventing him from wishing them all dead or them to loose their powers? For his abilities he is basically unlimited due to his magic. For example he could make himself into the hulk with superman abilities or even have every hero and villain ability. Also if he needs backup he can call in his whole military which has unrestricted magic as well and the same magic ability.

Alright, "weak" isn't exactly the right word there. My bad. He's more so "can't really do shit against magic". He couldn't track down Dr. Fate if he didn't want to be found, for example, and Trigon would laugh off any punch he threw.

I think what he means is superman doesn't have any protection from magic, meaning his powers can just be wished away, making him mortal.

In the case of Jorgen von Strangle, who is a Fairly Oddparents character, I don't think he could even be brought to do that, because as we all know, Fairly Oddparents characters are utterly incapable of performing the obvious solution to any given problem in the show.

All Timmy (or any kid with fairy godparents) has to wish for is, "I wish the conflict of today's episode was resolved," and boom. Of course, they never do that, so logically, I don't think it's reasonable to suspect that anyone from that show would have the foresight to simply wish Superman's powers away. They'd be forced to come up with some other contrived solution, because airtime.

I don't understand why people bother pitting two characters together when one is obviously more powerful than the other, in terms of what they are capable of doing.

Once you have the power to magick any object or event into existence (or nonexistence), you've essentially become omnipotent, and trying to figure out how to defeat an omnipotent being is beyond futile.

Debate something interesting, like... Spider-Man vs. the T-1000 or some shit.
