Yes, it is. Darkness or light. It all starts off "innocent," and then it gradually gets worse. I started off as an atheist who recently left his faith because of stuff, and then slowly I did this and that, getting darker and darker.

You know how in cartoons and shows the "bad guy" pops the balloon of a kid and/or smacks the ice cream out of their hand? I actually did that once, just for the hell of it. I also tormented a young couple who recently had to watch their 2 year old daughter die of cancer. I regret the latter more.

That's odd, because I'm an atheist and I'd say I'm a pretty empathic person.

Religion can be beneficial and make you a better person, but don't say that not having a religion makes you an asshole. Being an asshole is what makes you an asshole.

If religion helps keep you on a leash then so be it, but try not to project your own psychological issues onto others.
