Do they attack?Russia and America were pretty equal in terms of military power back then, so it wouldn't give up or lose quickly.Japan of course doesn't attack US, but instead just continues fucking up China. The non-interventionalist American mindset at the time would pretty much allow them to do that unopposed, and they'd probably easily take the country. Russia and Japan would probably unite (Russia doesn't want a two-front war) and take on America and its allies in the 60s. Essentially, we'd still have WW2, but just later in the century.
Well WW2 would still happen, there's no avoiding that. However the events of the war might be very different.
