after making this video, the dude they were riffing on got so butthurt that he decided to sue them for copyright infringement

they finally won the case after a year and a half and they're free to upload and monetize the video on account of fair use

the thing to take away from this is that this is gonna set a precedent for fair use on youtube, which is pretty fantastic, and perhaps other content creators on the site will have to worry less about getting their shit taken down now (maybe)

sure but that's sort of like watching a godzilla movie and then saying "that was fake"

well-spotted, but i'm pretty sure that's exactly what they're going for

just a celebratory over-the-top intro for a nice happy video—actually, i'd call that super genuine

you've put up with more obnoxious things than that so i'm sure you can handle 20 seconds of it

or don't, just know that this is an overall net gain for content creators due to the precedent it sets for youtube and fair use
