It's very generic and at this point is oversaturated.

Okay so season 9 will be cool because of that, great! But the fact that Negan lives invalidates all the arcs that intertwined and led up to Negan's death in season 8, a FORCED move by some higher up that did a disservice to Rick's character progression and pretty much fucked up the entire point of that season. I don't give a shit about season 9, they had a chance to make season 8 great and chose the easy way (that wont be as memorable or awesome in the long run)

The change of showrunners has done wonders for the show, she's actually listened to and acted on complaints people have had about it for years.
