The Flood has taken over the world. All continents are underwater. Muddy water. I am the last free human being who was able to resist the powers of the Flood. I live alone on small patch of land that I was able to save from being conquered by using a really smart secret plan. I have a house and some berry bushes. I eat the berries to survive.
My only company is gatsby, who alone among the new Flood People of earth treats me with kindness, or at least a passing interest. He pokes his muddy head over my dirt wall and yells out 'Throw that.' These are his only words, but I feel that they hold a whole world of meaning. I give him a handful of berries from my berry bushes when he visits.

I don't know what the future holds for me. Although it is most likely a lonely death. I am the last free human being on earth.
