Yeah I already made a thread about this a while back
I ran into Blaze's family at the theater when I was going to see some other film and they seemed kind of embarrassed to be there to see the first one (as they should be). I don't expect this second film to be any better than the first.

Can you give a brief summary of what it's about, or, in particular, why it's disliked? It has been a while, but I'll try.It presents the argument that God isn't real as a personal attack. It presents atheists as smug, dickish, and unhappy. Iirc it also makes the atheist side seem like they have the burden of proof. It's not a logical movie at all; the whole film is basically a huge emotional appeal and they prove God is real by finding out that the teacher is actually just a Christian mad at God for his wife or something dying.
If God = JesusAnd Jesus bled when the Romans nailed him to the crossSo God bledIf it bleeds, we can kill it.Therefore if there needs to be a sequel to God's Not Dead, we can prevent the trilogy.
I took a film class during my first semester of college, and on the first day, the professor, of course, had us all name our favorite movies along with our little introduction for the class. We had people saying shit like Charlie St. Cloud, Pitch Perfect (ugh), The Fault in Our Stars (UGH), and one girl even said God's Not Dead.ironically, she ended up having the best taste in the class, having had the best reactions to all the best films we watchedgo figure

What's up with the victim complexes so many Christians have these days?
That trailer. What's up with the victim complexes so many Christians have these days? I mean, saying something like that in a college class won't get you fired unless it's completely irrelevant and inappropriate for the class (like say, you do it to try to convert people- that's not your fucking job as a professor). I've seen professors pose god as an example because it was done in a neutral manner. Big deal, it wasn't going to sway or push anyone to accept or reject religion. Most of the time it's like "you're BULLYING me by not letting me say horrible things and discriminate against you also my views are the only right views because muh FREEDOM OF SPEECH" and that's not how a teacher should ever teach.
