We're visiting a big customer of mine. But... I gotta take him to lunch.

Choices:

Chain burger joint with an "Islands" theme

A chain casual Mexican place

A local favorite cafeteria style German deli/butcher

He's a pretty laid back guy, but he does have power over my career with this company

The burger joint for sure. The second is too messy/gross and the third is way too casual, even for him.

TBH, I'm torn between that and the German place.

I do sales, so it would show I know my territory. Buut... The burger place is very safe.

Take him to the Mexican place, it's different. Don't be that guy that plays it safe and goes by the book. Stand out and do something noticeable.

True... That's why this is a hard decision. Chains are safe. He'll have his favorites. But, it doesn't show I know the area.

If you take the Mexican place, you can tip the chefs to put the rats they caught in their rat poison traps into his food that has meat in it.

He'll die, it'll look like a horrible accident for you, and you'll get promoted for having to go through such a traumatic work stress.

Meanwhile, the mexican restaurant will reconstitute itself a few blocks down after their current endevour was shut down for obvious health and safety reasons.
