Sitting in my college algebra class gives me memories of middle school

For real, I feel like I'm one of the few people in the class who actually knows what they're doing and what's going on in the class. Discuss how someone can be accepted into a university and still not know basic algebra.

I'm in Calc II and when my friend asked for Algebra help my reaction was, "wtf is this shit, who does this?".

I placed out of math in college because a took a bullshit class (Advanced Topics in Math) during my senior year.

I automatically placed out of intermediate algebra because of my ACT score, but I had the opportunity to test out of college algebra as well. I decided not to and I kinda wish I did because holy fuck this is so easy it's pointless

Would the college still let you test out of it at this point (As in, give you an exam and let you drop the class if you do well enough)? I know my school does something similar to that for the science and math students.
