But I loved the Mass Effect trilogy, I'm just bitter that I never got round to getting any of the expansions for it. I swear that I'm the only one who actually enjoyed ME3's ending .-.

They didn't need any fucking steroids since they were old enough to tie their shoelaces to be badass. They actually worked their asses off (and now thanks to Halo 4, ODSTs that are qualified can become SPARTANs now.)

As for the Mass Effect trilogy, there's at least 4 to look forward to.

I also love how the ODST armour was originally going to be the Chief armour in combat evolved, before they went with the MKV we know and love because ODST looked 'too mean', and they reused the idea for special forces troops in the upcoming games.

I love though, how the nightfall armour has gone back to a more traditional ODST look rather than the butchery of Halo 4 ODST (I liked Halo 4's armour but I felt ODST got ruined in it, losing the angular look I loved it for.)

This is the best picture I can get but it looks a lot cooler in-game in the armoury;

The expansions were really good, I gotta say. I thought the ending was good too. I really doesn't understand why everyone was going around hating it over nitpicky things.

I think it was more over what was promised than what we got, when something gets hyped up considerably, what we get will never be as good. It's the reason I think Half-Life 3 will never be well recieved; 10+ years of waiting will build up hype that can never be lived up to and no matter what happens, it will get shit on.

I think it worked out okay in the end though, with MJOLNIR and ODST armor being what they are.
Spartans are more angular, and ODSTs are more rounded.

I presume that Fotus is non-canon, as it's entry on the EVG states that it is a specialty role for transproting coffee, and the horn is to scare off wildlife. Though I think that tha armour without the horn looked cool, I loved the inspiration from the Promethean Knights we got in-game- the idea of UNSC armour using reverse-engineered Covenant Technologies (Such as Jiralhanae stealth kits used in making Stalker) and Forerunner tech (Such as those found at Onyx that went into building the Prefect armour) really excites me. But I would also say the same for Halo 3's Hayabusa, the idea of Spartans walking around with katanas and big horns on their helmet is a bit dumb.

I know, they wanted Chief to look like a hero I guess, and ODST was 2cool4them. Though I'm guessing it was going to be in the game at some point for the standardmarine BDU, as the novelisation The Flood says that the Autumn's marine complement were all ODST's picked to join Operation: Red Flag, and that the entire company dropped in their ODST pods onto I04 and singlehandedly took a heavily fortified Covenant base on the ring- a base that had several banshees, ghosts and more where the ODST's had a few rifles and rockets, and no armour whatsoever.

Mch more badass than Chief, methinks.

Plus it's referenced in Halo lore- the Air Assault armour in Reach/4/5 was an upgrade of the ODST BDU before the project was essentially turned into another variantion of MJOLNIR.
