This is my main qualm. I straight-up don't watch linked YT videos on this site, because I usually don't have headphones on hand. I thought WebM's had audio, as well, but I guess not.

They can, but most websites opt to not allow audio on webms from what I've seen.

Most of them are smaller than .gifs. in size so I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to. Unless you also can't view .gifs.
