Fingertip Knives vs Wrist Blades

Where would you prefer weapons to be?

You can have razor sharp claw blades come out the tips of your fingers or you could have three blades extend from the top of your wrist or hand (like Wolverine)

Which would you think be more useful?

With wrist blades, you get more application of force. You can slash and puncture. But finger blades would only work well for slashing. And here's the other thing.

Imagine if you went to hit something with your finger blades, like armour, and they didn't puncture, and instead, you snapped you fingers? The wrist is a hell of a lot more of a secure location for them because as I said, you get more force put into your blows, where spindly finger blades don't, meaning they can be blocked easier and their source can be broken or twisted, much, much easier.

If we were talking adamantium skeletons as well as the wrist/finger blades, I would go for the finger blade option. But without that, you're right, it would be a bitch to try to cut through something dense.

Seeing as I'm not a crime fighting nutjub in tights, the finger blades would be more practical for typical, daily use, such as cutting food, climbing things, or easily unhooking a chick's bra.

I don't think you saw what I posted compatriot. You couldn't climb shit with finger blades. OP said nothing about what kind of metal the blades are made out of, so for all intents and purposes, we're not talking adamantium.

Cutting stuff? Finger blades work fine. But for climbing and more physical aspect they're pretty shitty. And, don't forget, you'd need to be pretty dextrous to use them. A hell of a lot more chances to stab yourself with finger blades over knuckle blades.
