6. Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes
7. Edge Of Tomorrow

Still need to see Interstellar (navo brolan) Birdman and Guardians Of The Galaxy, but I doubt my top 3 are gonna change this year.

So yeah, very solid year thus far, almost on par with 2012. Let's see what Peter Hackson brings with Battle Of Five Armies.

Nah, there are flaws with it to any normal observer

Requires a warped understanding of Godzilla movies/directorial intent to truly appreciate

If you put X-Men and TWS over Guardians this will probably be my list [assuming I watch Interstellar sometime soon]

Because if I watch a movie titled: "Godzilla" I expect to see Godzilla.
The movie didn't deliver that part in any proper fashion until the very end of the film and as an observer to the events ufolding, I didn't give a single fuck about the human cast.
So I feel cheated.

I'm not even a Godzilla fan and I enjoyed it. I don't deny the flaws either, but I thought this movie got way too much flak than it deserved. I really do get the feeling that people were expecting monster fights left right and center, which is understandable in and of itself, but going in with that mindset detracts from the true essence of the film. I find it's more of a disaster movie rather than a monster movie, which isn't necessarily bad.

Are you complaining thereof his lack of screen presence? Because I actually think that's one of the strongest points of the film. They don't overuse him, which makes his appearance that much more satisfying.

I'm pretty sure the human cast was there to drive the plot. You can't have an entire film characterize a giant radioactive lizard for a 2 hour contemporary film, as popular as he is.

I haven't read in a while but I think he was actually big. He could definitely carry hiccup though.

If he was tiny in the books though and not in the movies that would make me even more upset....
