Is there any other organisation like the FFL?  I've read up a bit about it and it seems that contrary to popular belief, able bodied people are being put aside in favour of those with previous experience and command of the language. 

I'm quite flexible here, just don't fancy spending a couple hundred bob to go to france only to be sent packing for some arbitrary reason, it'd be a monumental waste of time. If anybody knows of someplace where you can vanish for a couple of years and you work in return for food and clothes then please let me know.

Doesn't even need to be military, literally anything in any country will do.

Any missionary/humanitarian work
Any security contractors (though you'll often run into a requirement for combat experience)


I'm sure ISIS would take some young western volunteers, too.

Good honest hard work in exchange for housing and food. the lenght of time is the only thing that concerns me, it seems to be month or weekly based not in years or decades. Oh well.

There are some that last for up to six months and even then you can stay on as regular help. Just gotta find the right one.
