If stealing footage means "using the footage recorded by other youtubers without their permission or credit given", kind of a shitty move.

If stealing footage means "using footage of a video game and some publisher got buttblasted", then the ban is retarded.

Shouldn't be a ban in either case; that is, unless it's the former case and she's had multiple marks on her account for it.

I don't have a problem with her views (I don't agree with them at all just as a caveat, but she has the right to voice them), just that she never really credits the gameplay she uses in her videos. I really hope some semblance of action was taken, because she's been getting away with this shit for far too long.

I don't really care if her channel has been reinstated or not. Point still stands that she has been patently violating YouTube's fair use for well over a couple years now. The ban was completely warranted.

Theres no evidence, but often enough she uses footage and completely disregards their context and seems to manipulate it to suit her argument, when often enough thats not what it's intended to represent or....its actually right in front of you but she disregards it and keeps rambling.

It just seems hard to believe she actually played these games if she cant clearly understand what its trying to tell.

Actually, the document I was reading turned out to be an interview with her, not a review. I did read her review for Uncharted. It was alright. I haven't played an Uncharted game but the tropes she points out are prevalent in a lot of the games I've played. I'm usually interested in new or uncommon game experiences, and I think her ideas in that review could be more engaging in addition to making games more generally accessible.

What's really sad about this is that at least it's understandable when the backlash is rooted in a childish expression of disagreement or plain misogyny. That still falls under fair use though I think?? You're allowed to monetize a video and still claim fair use

As much as I'd love to see her channel stay down, she seems to be in the right. Other content creators have head their accounts suspended for similar reasons.

As much as I can't stand Anita, she stayed true to the donations. They were donated to help fund FF, and her videos are all a part of that.

The person who's red handed for what you mentioned is that scumbag of a E-celeb Zoey Quinn who had donations go to some fake charity, closes down the event without repaying the donation givers (doing so by claiming it will come back "some time later" yet never mentions it ever again) and then doxes the competitors.
