Title says it all.

K-bars are pretty reliable IMO. Definitely a good all-around knife.

You will find out who you are not a thousand times, before you ever discover who you are. I hope you find peace in yourself and learn to love instead of hate.

"flaming nipple chops"-Your host, the man they call Ghost.

To say, 'nothing is true', is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile, and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say, 'everything is permitted', is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic.
The one that does the stabbing and the other one that does the cutting.

This is not the greatest sig in the world, no. This is just a tribute.
I really like classic folders. Simple construction, simple design, nice and flat for EDC, no tacticool blade shapes.

What I'm most fond of right now is my Mercator.

What's wrong with kukris? I have one, and its nice to have something that can be used as a machete, combat weapon, survival knife, and a tool of intimidation. They're pretty badass aesthetically too.

Nothing wrong, they were kind of just an internet sensation a few years ago. Seems like karambits are the new thing now.

I don't get karambits. Sure, they look cool; but they have no real practical application. They also handle weirdly. I just don't really like 'em.

K-Bar. If I'm getting a knife to be used for a purpose I only go with them. I got the BK7 to be used for outdoor use and I got their Zombie folder for my EDC. My next knife is going to be that Becker Tac Tool. I'm going to have that in my SUV as my oh shit knife. I also got that Light My Fire Mora for camping as well.

Same application as regular pocket knives, cutting things, whittling, etc. Also work well at self-defense.

Yeah...

Anyway, since this is basically a knife general thread, I'm thinking of getting another classic folding knife soon. Should I go with a Douk Douk,

, or a Svord Peasant?

The only thing that worries me about the peasant or higo is if the main rivet comes lose and it opens too easy in a pocket... at least the douk douk has that massive spring to "lock" the blade.

I'd go with the Hig or Douk Douk. You could probably find a way to mod the rivet so it doesn't come loose; I had a similar issue with a knife I have.
