Ever wonder what happened to your childhood friends?

I had a friend when I was 8. He was so competitive. Be it ball, king of the hill, or just swinging on the swing set, he always had to be best. Its funny, until he got sick, we all swore he was heading on to great things. One day his parents moved or something. We never saw him again. I joined the military to see places, but I never forgot about him.

Anyone else have a friend like that?

I still keep in touch with them. One's becoming a kindergarten teacher and the other is becoming a CHP officer.

Its the funny things you remember. He was fearless. We got in a scuffle one day, playing. An adult came over to yell at him, I think. He talked to her like he was an adult. But that was his way.

I had the luxury of meeting my best friend until I was 11 a few months ago. He's a fucking fedora autist now. No joke. He literally chewed me out for referring to my girlfriend as a "chick". That was the most terrible reunion ever.

I'm still best friends with the guy I met in 7th grade, though. We're blood brothers.

The best friends I had in elementary school I don't even know anymore. It's pretty much only those people I met in high school and college that I still hang around with.

Sometimes, though to be honest I dont care what happened to most of them. Only a few of them I still think about every now and then. I had a friend of mine that ended up getting to together with his boyfriend and leaving to Seattle. I had to the chance to talk him a few months ago and he told me he was happy. Thats all I needed.

Only one. But let's see. Through my childhood, teen years, and up to now, I've only ever had 6 friends. Two were lost early on when we moved through provinces. Three were lost in my teen years, and I only speak to one today.

But there's one that will always keep me up at night. One, who I lost early on, was a damn good friend. No others that came after were as close as we were. And, over the year's I've done my best to see if I could track them down again, but there's no finding them.

So it's going to be something that will bug me for the rest of my days instead.

I didn't have many childhood friends...

My only real friend moved out of town, and in a twist of fate only found in movies it's where I was going to spend my next holiday! So we spent the day at a theme park, it's one of the best days of my life!

I don't know what happened to him though ;~;

Earliest childhood friend I still talk to lives in The Bronx now with his two cousins and works in a cafe.

I haven't seen or spoken to any others since I moved away over a decade ago.

I've known my childhood friend since I was around 8. We've had good times, but since we go to different colleges we don't speak much anymore.

Which sucked.

I've only really been able to contact two of my childhood friends, one via facebook and the other because our mum's were friends. We were also born on the same hospital ward precisely 12 hours apart <.<

When I went to meet up with them again... considering I last saw them when I was five or so... it was... unnerving ._.

Then my two best friends from the school that I moved to moved to the other end of the country, they were identical twins <.< God that sucked. We saw them a couple of times over the last 8 years when we went down to near where they lived or vis versa, it's just kind of strange how they grew up compared to how I did <.<

I ended up with more srsnss than ebola and they are still quite carefree, but ah well >.>

I lost many when I moved away. To them, I'm the one who disappeared.

I tried to keep in touch every so often by visiting them on my holidays back there, but the last time was 2 years ago. One of my friends is currently in Hungary doing something medical related (somehow?), most of my other friends are going to some sort of Irish uni, and the odd one or two kinda went downhill after I moved and no-one talks to them anymore.

One friend comes to mind when I moved to Wales. One of the first friends I met because he had just moved too, and then by the end of the year he had moved away again back to Cornwall/Devon I think, next to some ice-cream factory. Haven't heard from Charlie since.

I used to live in Lawton, Oklahoma from ages 3-7 and had two friends but forgot their names. Would be hilarious if Slash ended up being one of them since he lives in Oklahoma

I met my best friend first year of Infants when I was 4, through some astonishing amount of luck, and recently a curious twist of fate, we've been in every class together. Because of issues with my GCSE timetable, I had to take PE GCSE, meaning that I even have identical GCSE classes to him
