Personally, I thought it was a worthy conclusion to a great story, and I'm glad that it never continued only to go downhill like so many other tales.Halo 3 in general isn't that good. The plot/story is pretty weak for most of the game, and only really becomes somewhat good near the end of the game.Bungie's Halos took a steep dive after 2 (ODST being an exception). The story did go downhill, but Halo 4 bought it back up.

I watched a couple, didn't get why it was so scary.I watched it because I found it be an interesting series, not because it was scary. It ended a few months ago and everyone hated the ending but me. It was a Lost-esque ending where basically nothing was explained--but that's what I loved about it. It wouldn't make sense if everything was explained.

Quote from: Verbatim on January 06, 2015, 09:57:53 AMI wanna play ME3 just to say that the ending wasn't bad. Just to piss people off. But it's probably just easier to continue referring to it as the retarded alien sex simulator that it is.It being bad has more to do with advertising lies than anything story related. Well, excluding the huge asspull. Lead writer advertised 16 different endsings, and that it wouldn't be a red, blue, or green ending. And it totally was.

i find the reasoning of "it wasn't how i wanted/how i'd like it to be" rather childish, personallyit's not your story, is itand that certainly doesn't make it bad
well i'm just saying, even by it's own terms, i don't even see how it's a bad endingthe reason why the majority dislikes it is because it doesn't answer questions like the operator's originswhich you said you don't care aboutwhat you wanted for them it to expand upon the mythos morewhich, of course, not everybody cares about--it wasn't the mythos that made it compelling for meit was the realismand the ending is the most real ending they possibly could've done, in my perspective

Well, excluding the huge asspull. Lead writer advertised 16 different endsings, and that it wouldn't be a red, blue, or green ending. And it totally was. From my understanding, a lot of bullshit happened behind the scenes that caused the ending to end up the way it did - both with EA pushing for a quicker release and with the exchange of writers. Is it kinda disappointing learning of what they had originally intended? Somewhat, but I'm content with the ending we got (with the Extended Cut at least). I prefer it to be bitter-sweet, there are too many happy endings.
It seems less like the creators left the ending open and more like they decided 'fuck it, let's just end it here.'
